Lo YathaKatha International Film & Literature Festival unisce il mondo del cinema e della letteratura in un’unica piattaforma internazionale. L’obiettivo del festival è valorizzare queste due arti interconnesse, promuovendo la narrazione come strumento universale per comprendere e celebrare la diversità culturale. Il festival mira a creare uno spazio per la proiezione di opere cinematografiche e la presentazione di opere letterarie, favorendo il dialogo tra autori, registi e appassionati. Fondato da Charu Sharma, è il primo evento dedicato a cinema e letteratura insieme, con l’intento di incoraggiare la creatività e stimolare una discussione approfondita su queste forme d’arte. Lo spirito dello YathaKatha International Film & Literature Festival è quello della condivisione e della collaborazione, con l’obiettivo di ispirare il mondo attraverso storie e idee che celebrano l’essenza dell’arte narrativa.
On the outskirts of Varanasi, on the banks of the Ganges River, there is a small school, surrounded by the villages from which the children come. It was established some eighty years ago and is inspired by J. Krishnamurti’s educational vision of compassion and harmonious human development. Overcoming numerous difficulties throughout its existence, the school has remained steadfast in its intent to be a place of joy for young children. The docufilm explores the children’s lives at home and at school. The story is intertwined with the interviews of the other protagonists: the Principal, the teachers and the founder of the group of donors “The River of Life”.
