It was founded about eighty years ago and is inspired by the educational vision of J. Krishnamurti, a vision of compassion and harmonious human development. The school is named after Achyut Patwardhan, a lifelong friend of Krishnamurti and a prominent figure in India&#8217;s independence movement. Overcoming numerous challenges throughout its existence, the school has grown in size and quality and is now a place of research, through education, for a possible happiness.
